Further announcements regarding this event will be made in due course, inline with the Victorian Government’s Circuit Breaker directive.
The Centre for New Energy technologies (C4NET), Central Victorian Greenhouse Alliance (CVGA), Powercor – network provider at Donald/Tarnagulla, and Ovida would like to invite residents, businesses and communities of Donald to attend a forum on Donald’s / Tarnagulla’s Energy Future. The forum will inform on a Study being undertaken on the feasibility of setting up a microgrid at Donald and Tarnagulla.
C4NET secured a grant from the Federal Governments’ Regional and Remote Communities Reliability Fund to investigate the feasibility of microgrids for the towns of Donald and Tarnagulla.
In this forum, C4NET, CVGA, Ovida and Powercor will present on topics such as:
- What is a microgrid? What is this Study about? What will this Study aim to achieve?
- Why the Study is being done in Donald/Tarnagulla and what are the benefits?
- Powercor’s role in supporting and enabling communities in their energy choices.
- Opportunities for communities and businesses, solar and battery offerings and benefits of bulk buy.
We will also listen to residents’, businesses’ and communities’ ideas and concerns to better understand the community and business energy needs during the forum.
